Russia–India Cultural Harmony Shines at the Opening of Nikas Safronov’s ‘Dream Vision’ Exhibition in Mumbai

Mumbai: Mumbai witnessed a vibrant celebration of Russia–India cultural friendship at the grand opening of ‘Dream Vision’, a landmark solo exhibition by Nikas Safronov, People’s Artist of the Russian Federation. The exhibition was inaugurated at the prestigious National Gallery of Modern Art (NGMA), Mumbai, marking a significant moment in cultural exchange between the two nations.

The opening ceremony was graced by Mr. Ivan Y. Fetisov, Consul General of the Russian Federation in Mumbai, acclaimed pianist and artist Luka Safronov, and Dr. Jaan Nissar Lone, Global President of the BRICS Culture Media Forum. Their presence highlighted the growing artistic and cultural synergy shared by India and Russia.

The exhibition features 45 remarkable artworks that trace Safronov’s artistic journey, seamlessly blending classical realism and symbolism with his distinctive Dream Vision style. Enhanced by immersive multimedia and AI-driven elements, the collection offers a contemporary artistic experience while remaining deeply rooted in tradition. Curated especially for Indian audiences, the artworks reflect Safronov’s profound admiration for India’s spirituality, mythology, and ancient civilisational heritage.

Speaking on the occasion, dignitaries emphasised the importance of art as a bridge for cultural diplomacy and people-to-people connections. They noted that such platforms not only promote creative dialogue but also strengthen mutual understanding and shared values between nations.

Open to the public free of charge until January 15, 2026, ‘Dream Vision’ stands as a powerful testament to the enduring friendship between Russia and India, celebrating art as a universal language that transcends borders and fosters global harmony.
